My art is more like a personal diary, as it keeps a record of my daily life experiences as well as my work being an expression of my self awareness. There is a unique story behind each of my works. Perhaps it is a memory of a person who has joined the angels, or the reappearance of some of the places I have been to, a mysterious dream, reflecting my understanding of living and love. However, my works are full of imagination, fantasy, light sensations and mystery. Colour is one of the most important elements in my art. Through subjective colours, abstract geometric figures and random lines, I express my feelings, illusions and inner thoughts.
The theoretical influence for my art work derives from Sigmund Freud. I believe that every person has an original, natural and instinctive energy source in their unconscious. Driven by this, we can become closer to our id which is chaotic and confused. Yet, all of these descriptions are not important. When connecting to our unconscious , we are more real within ourselves, like having a conversation with our soul. In my experience of creating art, it is best for me to work using only a yellow small light. At that moment, I am able to come closer to my inner world and hear the voices within.
As mentioned above, my artwork is not based on a particular photograph but rather from memories or my unconscious. I usually put my canvas on the floor, moving around the edge and painting very quickly. It tends to emphasize personal thoughts with subjective strong colours and abstract shapes as I want my art to express feelings rather than illustrate them. Through my artwork, I hope that my audience will enter a world that is full of colour, fantasy and hope.
